Private or Shared Charters—Your Choice, Your Catch

At Fat Otter Fishing Charter, when you book the first five seats, the boat is yours—no additional guests will be added. Perfect for families, small groups, or anyone looking for a private fishing experience.

If you’re booking 1–4 seats, we’ll often fill the remaining spots with other anglers for salmon trips on your preferred date. For bottom fishing or combo salmon/bottom fishing trips, we require at least four anglers to be booked by the day of the trip for the trip to be viable

Unlike large charter boats that pack in up to 20 passengers, Fat Otter delivers a more personal, hands-on experience. You'll receive individual attention, expert guidance, and the opportunity to actively participate—from setting lines to reeling in your catch.

We provide all the gear and bait you need, using top-of-the-line, well-maintained equipment so you can focus on fishing and fun. We fish as a team—everyone keeps fishing until we limit out or run out of time, and all fish are shared equally among guests.

Your fish will be immediately iced on the boat, and once we return to the dock, we will take your catch to The Gut Hut for cleaning and bagging. Or, for a small fee, they can be filleted and vacuum-sealed.

Once back at the dock, The Gut Hut will prepare your catch to your preference, see below for the full list of fish processing pricing:

  • Cleaned (gutted) and bagged

  • Filleted and vacuum sealed for a small additional fee

  • Stored in a walk-in freezer or cooler for $3.00/day

Chose From Six Charters

  • Halibut Fishing Charter

We’re booking Halibut trips for May and early June! These trips fill up fast, as the season is limited and halibut fishing is a truly exciting experience. Due to the quota system, earlier dates are more likely to be available, while later dates may be less certain. We typically reach our limit on halibut, and our offshore trips often bring in larger fish. You might also catch lingcod, Pacific cod, or rockfish if we’re ahead of schedule. If the season closes due to the quota being met, your trip will switch to a bottom fishing outing at a reduced rate.

    $425.00 per person ($212.50 deposit)

  • Salmon Inshore Fishing Charter

The Salmon trips start early to catch the morning bite, and usually last between six and eight hours, depending on where the fish are. We troll for salmon using electric downriggers and fish 2 to 4 rods at a time and take turns catching. Because trolling with downriggers is so effective, and because we go to where the fish are, we usually catch a lot of fish, and keep you busy catching and releasing until we catch all of the fish we are looking for.

  • Salmon Offshore Fishing Charter

Our Salmon trips start early to catch the morning bite and typically last 6-8 hours, depending on the fish location. We troll using electric downriggers, fishing with 2-4 rods at a time, and take turns reeling in. Thanks to the effectiveness of downriggers and our ability to target the fish, we usually catch plenty, keeping you busy with both catch and release until we reach our goal.

    $300.00 per person ($150.00 deposit)

  • Bottomfish Offshore Fishing Charter

Bottom fishing trips typically last 7-9 hours. We jig for lingcod, rockfish, and other species, usually bringing home plenty of meat. Many anglers prefer the delicious white meat of lingcod and rockfish (my personal favorite), and the thrill of discovering what’s on the line is always exciting. A minimum of four anglers is required to book a bottom fishing trip.

    $300.00 per person ($150.00 deposit)

  • Combo Offshore Fishing Charter

Description goes hereCombination trips start early and typically last 8-10 hours, perfect for anglers ready for a full day of fishing. We begin by trolling for salmon, then head to the bottom fishing grounds for lingcod and rockfish. A minimum of four anglers is required to book a combo trip.
