Meet Your Captain
Captain John Dickson:

John Dickson, your captain:

Is an experienced fishing guide

The Boat: Even Odder
Step aboard the Even Odder—a safe, fast, and well-equipped vessel built for comfort and serious fishing.
Fat Otter’s new boat, Even Odder, is a true beauty—and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome guests aboard this 26'6" World Cat power catamaran.
With her wide beam and exceptional stability, she delivers a smooth, fast ride—even through rough seas—so we can reach the fish quickly and comfortably.
The spacious cabin comfortably shelters Captain John and three guests, while a cushioned transom bench provides open-air seating for up to three more anglers. Below deck, you'll find an enclosed head (bathroom) and a hand sink in the cuddy for added convenience.
A generous rear fishing deck offers plenty of room to reel in big king salmon off the downriggers, and the walk-around cabin design gives you full 360° access for battling bottom fish and monster halibut.
Powered by twin 200HP Yamaha outboards, the Even Odder boasts 400HP of reliable, smooth performance to get you to the fishing grounds quickly and efficiently.
The boat is outfitted with new high-speed Scotty electric downriggers, advanced sonar, and GPS navigation systems to help locate and land the catch of the day. We've also added Tanacom 750 electric reels for deep-water bottom fishing.
All tackle and gear are top-quality, professionally maintained, and backed up with spares to ensure a smooth, hassle-free day on the water. Lures, flashers, and bait are carefully selected based on what’s proven to work best for our targeted species.
For your safety and peace of mind, the Even Odder carries Coast Guard-approved safety equipment—plus extras. Every guest is provided with a comfortable, auto-inflating life jacket.
